Fluval Flex Impeller
Restores flow when the Flex's built-in pump starts running weak or noisy. This is the genuine Fluval replacement impeller for the magnetic circulation pump built into the Fluval Flex, Evo and Spec aquariums. Two fitments are listed – check your tank size against the table below before ordering, because the 34 L Flex uses a different pump to the 57 L Flex, Evo and Spec.
Key features
- Genuine Fluval part – matched to the original pump, not a universal substitute.
- Direct swap – no tools beyond removing the pump housing cover.
- Fixes the common symptoms – weak flow, grinding or rattling noise, or a pump that hums but doesn't spin, are almost always a worn or cracked impeller rather than a failed motor.
Will it fit my pump?
| Variant | Part number | Fits | Pump model |
|---|---|---|---|
| 34ltr | A14674 | Fluval Flex 9 US Gal / 34 L (Item #15004, #15005) | WP500 |
| 57ltr / EVO / Spec 60ltr | A14678 | Fluval Flex 15 US Gal / 57 L (Item #15006–#15009) · Fluval Evo 13.5 US Gal / 52 L (Item #10531) · Fluval Spec 16 US Gal / 60 L (Item #10525) | WP1500 |
What's included
One impeller with magnet and shaft. The pump housing, intake cover and tubing are not included.
Fitting
Unclip the pump housing from the filter outlet, lift out the old impeller, and press the new one into place the same way round. No glue or tools required – if it needs force, it's the wrong fitment.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for the Flex 34 L and 57 L, Evo 52 L, and Spec 60 L circulation pumps listed above. Not suitable for Fluval's canister filter range (104–407 series), which uses a different impeller shape entirely.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Fluval's standard replacement-part warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Standard freight applies.
Common questions
My pump hums but the flow has stopped – is this the fix?
Usually, yes. A humming, non-spinning pump is almost always an impeller that has cracked, worn a flat spot, or picked up debris the magnet can't push past. Check for a jammed shaft before ordering, but in most cases this part solves it.
How do I know which variant I need?
Match your tank against the table above – it's determined by aquarium size, not by which fish or plants you keep.
Can I use the 57 L impeller in a 34 L Flex?
No. The two tanks use physically different pumps (WP500 versus WP1500) and the impellers are not interchangeable between them.
