Fluval FX Gravel Cleaner Kit Vacuum Bag Super Fine 2 Pack
Catches the fine sand a standard vacuum bag lets through. Fluval part A373 is the super fine mesh vacuum bag for the Fluval FX Gravel Cleaner Kit, sold as a 2 pack. It's the step up from the standard fine bag (A372) for tanks running fine sand substrates or where light detritus keeps recirculating instead of being trapped.
Key features
- Super fine mesh weave – holds back fine sand and light detritus that a standard fine bag can miss.
- Direct fit to the FX Gravel Cleaner Kit – no adapters or trimming needed.
- Sold as a 2 pack – a spare on hand for the next clean.
- Reusable – rinse clean and refit rather than replacing after every use.
Will it fit my kit?
A373 fits the Fluval FX Gravel Cleaner Kit (A370) only, which itself connects to the FX4 and FX6 (2nd generation) canister filters. It does not fit any other brand's gravel vacuum.

Care and maintenance
Rinse the bag under a tap immediately after use – a super fine weave holds more fine material than a standard bag, so it's more prone to drying stiff if left. Let it air dry fully before storing.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for tanks with fine sand substrates or planted setups where light detritus needs catching, not just coarse waste. Not the best everyday choice for gravel-only tanks doing a quick clean, where the standard fine bag (A372) drains faster and clogs less.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Fluval's standard warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel.
Goes well with
- Fluval FX Gravel Cleaner Kit – the vacuum kit this bag is designed for.
- Fluval FX Vacuum Bag Fine 2 Pack (A372) – for coarser everyday debris where flow rate matters more.
Common questions
Should I buy this or the standard fine bag?
If you run fine sand or a planted tank where light detritus keeps getting missed, choose the super fine bag. For coarser gravel and general waste, the standard fine bag (A372) drains faster with less clogging.
Will it slow down suction compared to the standard bag?
A tighter weave does restrict flow slightly more than the standard fine bag, which is the trade-off for catching finer material.
Can I reuse it?
Yes – rinse it out after each water change and let it dry before the next use.
