Fluval FX Service Kit for FX5/6
The wear parts that bring a tired FX5 or FX6 back to full flow. The Fluval FX Service Kit (part A20259) bundles the impeller assembly, motor seal ring and the main sealing O-rings for the Fluval FX5 and FX6 canister filters into one pack, so a routine service doesn't mean sourcing four separate spare parts.

Compatibility and spares
Genuine Fluval part A20259, combining four individually numbered spares (A20206, A20207, A20212, A20210) that can also be bought separately if only one component has failed. Fits FX5 and FX6 only — check your filter model before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Fit a new impeller assembly if flow has dropped noticeably or the motor has become noisy, and replace the O-rings and lid seal at the same time if the canister has ever been difficult to reseal or has weeped at the top cover. Servicing all four together avoids reopening the filter twice in quick succession.

Suitable for FX5 and FX6 owners carrying out a scheduled service or fixing reduced flow, motor noise, or a leaking top cover. Not suitable for FX2 or FX4 filters, which take different service parts.

How do I know if my filter needs this kit?
Noticeably reduced flow, a noisy or humming motor, or a top cover that leaks or is hard to reseal are the usual signs the impeller and seals need replacing.
Does this fit the FX4?
No — this kit is built for the FX5 and FX6. The FX4 uses different service parts.
Can I buy just the impeller instead of the whole kit?
The impeller assembly (A20206) is one of four components in this kit and is also available as an individual spare if that's the only part you need.
How often should I service my FX5 or FX6?
Fluval doesn't publish a fixed interval — service when you notice reduced flow, motor noise, or difficulty resealing the top cover, rather than on a set schedule.
