Fluval Phosphate Pads 307/407 6 Pack
Custom-cut phosphate pads for the Fluval 306, 406, 307 and 407 canister filters. This is Fluval's Phosphate Remover (Fluval item A261), sold as a pack of 6. Each pad does two jobs: it is mechanical media (it physically traps floating particles) and chemical media (a resin built into the pad takes phosphate out of the water). Phosphate is a nutrient that feeds nuisance algae. A canister filter is a sealed external filter that sits below the tank.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums running a Fluval 306, 406, 307 and 407 canister filter. Not made for the 106, 206, 107 and 207; those filters take Fluval's 3 pack phosphate pad (item A260). Fluval does not list these pads for its FX series or other filters.
Care
Fluval's guide is to replace the pad monthly, or as required after testing your water with a phosphate test kit. Fluval also advises rinsing new media before fitting it, to flush out loose particles and trapped air, and not to compress or overfill the media baskets.
Warranty and delivery
Fluval does not publish a warranty for this filter media on its product page. Any help we give with a faulty pack is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
