Fluval Polishing Pads Suits 106 206 107 207 3 Pack
A fine polishing pad for a Fluval 106, 107, 206 or 207 canister filter, for the days your water needs to go from cloudy to crystal fast. This is a genuine Fluval Quick-Clear pad, not a permanent media — it's designed to go in for a few weeks after new fish, a substrate stir-up or a big water change, then come back out.
Key features
- Genuine Fluval part, A242 — the pad Fluval designs specifically for the 106/206 and 107/207 canister range.
- Fine polishing fibre — catches particles ordinary foam and floss let through, for genuinely clear water rather than just "less cloudy".
- Short-term use — best used for a few weeks at a time, not left in permanently.
- 3 pads per pack — enough for repeat use over several cloudy-water events.

Care and maintenance
Fit the pad when water is visibly cloudy or just after a tank disturbance, then remove it once the water has cleared. If left in continuously, change it every 4 to 8 weeks — a polishing pad clogs with fine particulate faster than standard mechanical media and will restrict flow if left too long.
Suitable for and not suitable for
Suitable for clearing cloudy water in a 106/107/206/207 canister filter. Not a substitute for biological media — it does not replace the ceramic or bio-media stages of the filter, and shouldn't be relied on as permanent mechanical filtration.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Fluval's standard replacement-parts warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Standard freight.
Common questions
Do I need this pad running all the time?
No — it's designed for short-term use when water is cloudy, not as a permanent filter stage.
How long does one pad last?
Change it every 4 to 8 weeks if left in continuously, or remove it once the water has cleared.
Will this fit my 105 or 205?
This pack is specified by Fluval for the 106/206 and 107/207 models. Check your filter's model number before ordering if you have a 105 or 205.
Does it replace my bio-media?
No — it's a mechanical polishing stage only and sits alongside, not instead of, your biological media.
