A genuine Fluval spray bar diffuses your FX canister filter's return flow across the width of the tank instead of firing it out of one spot. Fitting Fluval FX2, FX4 and FX6 canister filters, this kit (Fluval part A233) turns one strong jet into an even curtain of flow, breaking the surface for better gas exchange or spreading circulation gently below the waterline.

Will it fit my filter?
This kit is made for the Fluval FX2, FX4 and FX6 canister filters. Fluval's FX5 uses a different-generation outlet and is not confirmed to take this spray bar — if you run an FX5, check your filter's model plate or ask us before ordering rather than assuming compatibility.

Suitable for Fluval FX2, FX4 and FX6 canister filters, in freshwater or saltwater systems, where you want return flow spread across the tank rather than aimed at one point. Not a fit for other Fluval canister ranges (06 or 07 series) or for FX5 — those use different spray bar kits.

Will this fit my FX5?
Not confirmed. Fluval markets this kit for the FX2, FX4 and FX6; the FX5 is not listed as compatible on manufacturer or major retailer documentation, so check with us before ordering if you run an FX5.

Yes. The kit includes the spray bar sections, a hose adapter for the filter's outlet, and suction cups to mount it against the glass.
Can I run it above or below the waterline?
