Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for the Fluval U1 internal filter, which Fluval rates for freshwater, saltwater and reptile setups. Not for the U2, U3 or U4. If the filter still runs but flow is weak, check the Fluval U1 Internal Filter Impeller Assembly first.
Safety
Unplug the filter before lifting it out, and run it from an outlet protected by an RCD (residual current device, the safety switch that cuts power on an earth fault). Fluval's instructions say the pump must be fully under water and must never run dry.
