Half Union 3/4" Reducing Bush Black
A replacement union half that steps an Aqua Ultraviolet union down to 3/4 inch. This is Aqua Ultraviolet part A40187, which the maker describes as a union half with a 3/4 inch reducer bushing (a fitting that steps a larger connection down to a smaller pipe size), without thread, with O-ring, in black. Aqua Ultraviolet sells it as part of its range of 3/4 inch and 2 inch unions for its units and flow switches. A union (a fitting that joins two pipes and can be undone by hand without cutting the pipe) lets you take a unit off its plumbing for servicing.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a replacement union half on Aqua Ultraviolet units and flow switches that use this union, where the line needs to step down to 3/4 inch. Aqua Ultraviolet does not list a union ring (the collar that draws the two halves together) with this part, so reuse your existing ring or order one separately. Compare it with the part already on your unit before ordering.
Care
Aqua Ultraviolet's manual says not to use lubricants on any connections and to hand tighten fittings rather than use tools. Check the O-ring is seated and undamaged before you tighten the joint.
