Advantage Quartz Sleeve
The genuine replacement quartz sleeve for the 8 W Advantage 2000 UV steriliser. The quartz sleeve is the clear tube that sits between the UV lamp and the water, keeping the lamp dry while letting the UV-C (the short-wave ultraviolet light that kills free-floating algae and bacteria) pass through. This is Aqua Ultraviolet part A10003, with its rubber seal built in.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for the 8 W Advantage 2000. Not suitable for the 15 W Advantage 2000+, which uses a different sleeve (part A10004), or for Classic or Twist units.
Care
Handle the sleeve by its ends and seat it gently, as quartz breaks easily. Clean off scale or film when you service the unit, and replace the sleeve if it is cracked or stays cloudy.
Safety
Unplug the steriliser before opening it, and never look at a lit UV lamp. Aqua Ultraviolet does not cover a broken quartz sleeve, or damage caused by one, under its warranty.
