MarinePure Mesh Bag
The tidy way to run loose MarinePure media in a sump or filter basket. The MarinePure Mesh Bag is a durable, non-toxic polyester mesh bag with a drawstring closure, made to hold MarinePure biomedia — Spheres, GEMS or PODs — in a canister filter, sump or hang-on-back basket. It's freshwater and marine safe, and comes in three sizes to match how much media you're running.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: containing MarinePure Spheres, GEMS or PODs in a sump, canister or hang-on-back filter, in freshwater or marine setups.
- Not suitable for: fine mechanical filtration — the mesh is designed to contain biomedia, not to trap fine particles like floss or polyester pad does.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the bag along with the media inside it, in tank water or dechlorinated water, at a water change. The mesh itself has no fixed replacement interval — replace it if the drawstring fails or the mesh tears.

Common questions
Can I use one bag for a mix of Spheres and PODs?
Yes — the mesh bag doesn't care what MarinePure media is inside it, only how much room it takes up. Pick the size based on volume, not media type.
Will the mesh restrict flow through the media?
Some, compared to loose media sitting directly in a basket, but the mesh is open enough that it's not a meaningful flow restriction in normal sump or canister use, and water still flows through freely to reach the media inside.
