Red Sea ReefRun PSK-DC 1200 Pump (Only) All DC Skimmers
The genuine pump behind every Red Sea DC skimmer. The ReefRun PSK-DC 1200 is the Sicce-built DC pump that drives all three Red Sea REEFER DC protein skimmers — the 300, 600 and 900 — generating the fine air-water mix stable skimming depends on. This listing is the pump only, for repair or upgrade, not a complete skimmer.
Key features
- One genuine pump, three skimmers — the same PSK-DC 1200 pump runs the REEFER DC Skimmer 300, 600 and 900; you do not need to match a different pump to each size.
- Controllable DC operation — runs on the skimmer's existing DC controller and power supply, which are not included with a pump-only purchase.
- Sicce-manufactured — the pump is built for Red Sea by Sicce, a specialist pump manufacturer, rather than an in-house Red Sea design.

Those wattage figures are for the complete skimmer, not the pump in isolation — Red Sea has not published a pump-only power figure separately, so treat them as a guide to typical running cost rather than an exact pump rating. We have not found a published flow rate for this pump on its own either.
Part number note
Some overseas suppliers list this part as superseded — the original number R35570 folded into part #R35590 on Red Sea's instruction, according to at least one retailer's parts records. We have not been able to confirm this directly against a Red Sea source, so if you are ordering against an old parts list or diagram showing R35570, mention it when you order and we will confirm the current part before dispatch.
What's included
- 1 x ReefRun PSK-DC 1200 pump
Not included: the skimmer body, the DC controller, and the power supply — all sold separately or already fitted if you are replacing a pump in an existing skimmer.
Care and maintenance
Soak the pump in a citric acid solution at each major clean — calcium buildup on the needle wheel is the most common cause of a skimmer losing air draw over time, and it is usually mistaken for a failing pump.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suited to anyone repairing or refreshing a REEFER DC Skimmer 300, 600 or 900 where the existing pump has failed or lost performance. Not a match for Red Sea's older, non-DC skimmer range, or for other manufacturers' skimmers.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law. Standard parcel delivery.
Common questions
Does one pump really fit all three skimmer sizes?
Yes — Red Sea uses the same PSK-DC 1200 pump across the 300, 600 and 900. The skimmers differ in body size and height, not in the pump that drives them.
Do I need a new controller and power supply as well?
Only if those have also failed. This listing is the pump only — if your existing controller and supply are working, reuse them.
My parts diagram shows R35570 but this is listed as merged with R35590 — is it the same part?
We believe so, based on retailer parts records, but have not confirmed it directly with Red Sea. Tell us which part number your diagram shows when you order and we will check before dispatch.
