Zoo Med Desert UVB & Heat Lighting Kit

• Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture: two 5.5 inch domes in one unit, so the basking lamp and UVB lamp run side by side.
• Repti Basking Spot Lamp, 75 W: a double reflector spot lamp that focuses heat and light into a tight beam, and gives UVA.
• ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent, 13 W: 10% UVB and 30% UVA, Zoo Med's desert strength, through UVB-transmitting quartz glass. It screws into a standard socket and needs no separate ballast.

• Zoo Med item number: LF-31
• Included: Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture (LF-19), Repti Basking Spot Lamp 75 W (SL-75), ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent 13 W (FS-C10M)
• UVB lamp output: 10% UVB, 30% UVA

Zoo Med makes the ReptiSun 10.0 for desert and basking reptiles. Set the fixture over one end of the enclosure so your animal can move away to a cooler area. The basking lamp gives bright light, so it is not a night heat source. Zoo Med makes the ReptiSun 5.0 for tropical species instead.

Do not put glass or plastic between the UVB lamp and your animal, as both block UVB. UVB fades before the visible light does, so replace the UVB lamp on the schedule Zoo Med gives on the pack rather than waiting for it to fail.

Mount the fixture securely where your animal cannot reach the lamps, and do not exceed the wattage printed on the fixture. Control the basking lamp with a thermostat and check the basking temperature with a thermometer. Let lamps cool before handling. The ReptiSun lamp contains mercury, so take a used one to a lamp recycling drop-off rather than the household bin.

Zoo Med lists a 1 year warranty on the fixture and the ReptiSun lamp and 3 months on the Repti Basking Spot lamp, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
