Suitable as basking heat for lizards, snakes and tortoises, day and night. It is a heat source only, so run it alongside a daylight lamp and a UVB fixture.

Runs very hot. Use a ceramic socket rated for the wattage, fit a guard, and always run it through a dimming thermostat with the probe at the basking spot.
