Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a 24 hour heat source for reptiles, and a good choice where you want heat at night without light. It does not provide light or UVB, so day-active species still need their normal lighting.
Safety
Ceramic heat emitters get extremely hot, so do not touch one while it is running and keep children and pets away. Use it only in a clamp lamp or fixture with a porcelain socket; Zoo Med specifies its Wire Cage Clamp Lamp (item LF-10). Mount it above the enclosure's screen cover, never inside the enclosure, and never over a glass cover, as the heat can crack the glass. Zoo Med recommends a thermostat for steady temperatures.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Zoo Med's 24 month warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
