A ten-piece stainless steel tool set built for coral fragging, sized and finished for reef work rather than general aquascaping. The Aqua Medic Coral Frag Set brings together the scissors, pliers, cutting and straightening tools, and tweezers you need to cut, handle and place coral frags, in titanium-coated stainless steel that resists the rust ordinary tools develop from constant contact with saltwater.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for cutting and handling coral frags in a reef tank, and for general freshwater aquascaping and plant trimming. Not a substitute for dedicated bone-cutting tools on large, hard SPS colonies — check the cutting tool's rated thickness before working on thick branching coral.
Care and maintenance
Rinse in fresh water after use and dry before returning tools to the case, even with the titanium coating, to keep them working smoothly long-term.

Can I use this set on freshwater plants as well as coral?
Yes — the tools suit general aquascaping and plant trimming as well as coral fragging, and the titanium coating means switching between fresh and saltwater use won't rust them.
Are replacement blades available if a blade wears out?
Yes — Aqua Medic sells replacement blades for the scalpel/cutting tool in this set separately.
Does the coating wear off with use?
Manufacturer specifications describe the titanium coating as providing enhanced rust resistance over standard stainless steel; as with any coated tool, rinsing and drying after use extends its working life.
