Arcadia Pro Ceramic Lamp Holder & Bracket
A ceramic E27 holder rated to take the heat of a 250W lamp. The Arcadia Pro Ceramic Lamp Holder & Bracket gives you a heat-resistant E27 (Edison screw) fitting on an adjustable metal bracket, built to mount a basking, UV or heat lamp above a reptile enclosure. It's rated to 250W and is designed to be run with a lamp guard and a proper thermostat, not left to run unprotected.

Which lamps does it fit?
Any E27 screw-fitting lamp up to 250W - Arcadia's own basking spot, halogen, mercury vapour and UV lamp ranges included. Check the wattage printed on your lamp against the 250W rating before fitting it; this holder is not rated beyond that figure.
Safety
Arcadia's own instruction is to run any heat source in this holder with a lamp guard fitted and a good-quality thermostat controlling it - not on a bare timer or left to run unregulated. A lamp guard stops direct contact burns and prevents an animal knocking the lamp; the thermostat stops the enclosure overheating if the lamp is left on continuously.

What's the maximum wattage this holder takes?
250W. Don't fit a higher-wattage lamp than that into it.
Do I need a thermostat as well?
Yes. Arcadia's own guidance is to run any heat source in this holder through a good-quality thermostat, not directly off the mains.
Can I mount it on a glass terrarium?
Yes, using adhesive pads. On a wooden vivarium, screw-fix it to the frame instead.
Does it come with a lamp guard?
