Bioscape Tropic Betta Desktop Aquarium 10ltr

A complete 10 L betta setup, minus the substrate and decor. The Bioscape Tropic Betta Desktop Aquarium is a 24.5 × 20.5 × 23.5 cm all-in-one glass tank built for a single betta or a small nano community on a desk or shelf, with a heater, LED light and filtration already fitted — you add water, substrate and the decor you want.

Key features
  • 10 L glass tank — sized for one betta or a small nano species group, not a community tank.
  • Integrated heater — fitted inside the unit, so there's no separate heater to buy or mount for a standard betta setup.
  • Integrated LED lighting — built into the hood, no separate light fitting required.
  • Built-in filtration — runs on a replaceable filter cartridge housed in the unit.
  • Glass lid — fitted lid to cut evaporation and help keep a jumping betta in the tank.
What's included / What you'll still need

Bioscape markets this as a complete kit, so under Australian Consumer Law we're explicit about what that covers.

Which one do I need?

At 24.5 × 20.5 × 23.5 cm this suits a desk, shelf or benchtop rather than a floor stand. For more swimming room or a small planted nano community rather than a single betta, the Bioscape Tropic Clearview Desktop Aquarium Unit steps up to 20.4 L in a similar style.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for a single betta, or a small nano community such as shrimp alongside a betta. Not suitable as a quarantine or hospital tank needing its own uncontaminated heater and filter, and too small for anything beyond nano stocking.

Care and maintenance

Replace the filter cartridge on the manufacturer's recommended interval and rinse the impeller housing if flow drops. Wipe the LED hood dry before use — it isn't designed to be submerged.

Safety

This is a mains-powered heater and light in one sealed desktop unit. Keep the power cable's drip loop below the socket, and never run the heater with the tank empty.

Goes well with

A nano-safe water conditioner, a small bag of appropriately sized substrate, and soft decor without sharp edges — bettas are prone to fin damage on rough ornaments.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by Bioscape's manufacturer warranty against defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel delivery.

Common questions

Does this come with a stand?

No — the kit is the glass tank, integrated heater, light and filter only. You'll need your own stand, shelf or benchtop able to hold the filled tank's weight.

Can I keep more than one betta in this?

No — bettas are territorial and a 10 L tank has no room to separate rival males. Keep one betta per tank.

Do I still need a separate heater?

No — the heater is built into the unit. You don't need a second heater for a standard betta setup.

What temperature should I run it at?

Bettas are tropical fish and do best around 24–28°C — check the tank regularly with your own thermometer, since one isn't included.
