Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: freshwater and marine tanks with a spare air pump outlet, as a low-flow aeration and movement feature.
- Not suitable for: tanks that already run a heavily stocked skimmer or strong surface agitation — the frog's bubble stream adds relatively little extra oxygenation on top of that; the visual effect is the real reason to add one.
Safety
Rinse the ornament before adding it to your system. Fit a check valve in the airline if your air pump sits below the tank's water level, so water can't siphon back into the pump housing during a power outage.
Care and maintenance
Clear the bubble outlet with a fine pick if the stream weakens or stops — mineral scale or algae is the usual cause, not the ornament failing.
