No cable, no transformer – just drop it on the pond. The Bioscape Floating Solar Fountain is a 16cm-diameter floating unit that runs its pump directly from its own solar panel, with no battery and no mains cable to run to the house. Output moves with the sun, from around 120 to 200 L/hr depending on light levels, through a choice of spray heads.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: small to mid-size garden ponds and water features wanting movement and a fountain display without running mains power outdoors.
- Not suitable for: shaded ponds – output depends directly on sunlight, so a fountain in heavy shade will run weakly or not at all. It's a decorative fountain, not a filtration or aeration solution for a stocked pond.
Care and maintenance
Wipe the solar panel clean periodically – dust, pollen and algae film on the panel reduce output the same way shade does. Lift the pump out to clear the intake if flow drops off, and check the locating basket keeps the pump seated correctly in the float.

Does it run at night or when it's cloudy?
No – it has no battery, so it only runs while the panel is receiving direct light, and output drops on overcast days.
