Bioscape Floating Solar Fountain with Lights 20cm

Runs a pond fountain and its night lights on sunlight alone. The Bioscape Floating Solar Fountain with Lights is a 20cm all-in-one floating unit for ornamental ponds — a 2.4W solar panel, pump and battery built into the one float, so there's no power point to run and no cable trailing to the pond edge. Once the sun's up it sprays; once it's down, the built-in battery keeps the pump and LED lights running for several hours, depending on how much charge the panel banked that day.

Key features
  • Fully solar — no wiring — the 2.4W panel, pump and battery are all built into the 20cm float, so there's nothing to plug in and no cable to run to a power point.
  • Runs after dark — the integrated battery keeps the pump and lights going for several hours once the sun's gone, on whatever charge it collected during the day.
  • Interchangeable spray heads — several head styles are included so you can change the spray pattern to suit the pond.
  • Locating basket included — anchors the unit roughly in place so it doesn't drift to the edge of the pond.
  • Set-and-forget — no timer or switch to remember; it starts spraying as soon as there's enough light.

Performance

Bioscape rates flow at 120–220 L/h across the included spray heads, but doesn't publish a flow-against-head chart for this model — as a freely floating unit it isn't plumbed against a lift height the way a sump return pump is, so a head curve isn't a meaningful figure here. Actual spray height and flow will vary with the head fitted and the battery's state of charge.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
  • Suitable for: outdoor ornamental ponds and water features in freshwater, anywhere the float gets several hours of direct sun.
  • Not suitable for: saltwater or marine use, indoor rooms without strong natural light, or as a stand-in for a proper filtration or aeration pump in a stocked fish pond.
What's included / Not included
  • Included: the floating solar fountain unit (panel, pump and battery built in), assorted spray heads, locating basket.
  • Not included: any mains power option, timer, or pond lighting beyond the fountain's own built-in LEDs.
Care and maintenance

Wipe the solar panel surface clean of algae, dust and leaf litter regularly — a dirty panel charges more slowly and shortens the nightly run time. Rinse the pump intake if it starts drawing debris. Bioscape hasn't published a service interval for the internal battery or pump, so treat reduced run time as the cue to check both.

Safety

The unit runs on low-voltage solar and battery power only, with no mains wiring involved. It isn't designed for swimming pools or drinking water supplies. Keep the spray heads and locating basket away from young children, as they're small parts.

Warranty and delivery

Covered against manufacturing defects on arrival, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel item.

Common questions

Does it need a power point?

No. The panel, pump and battery are all built into the float, so there's nothing to plug in.

Will it still run on a cloudy day?

It will still charge and run, though Bioscape doesn't publish an exact output figure for overcast conditions — expect reduced flow and shorter night-time runtime.

Can I use it in a fish pond?

Yes, in freshwater. It's a decorative fountain rather than a filtration or aeration pump, so keep your existing filtration running alongside it if your pond is stocked.

How do I change the spray pattern?

Swap between the spray heads included in the box — no tools needed.

Does it work at night?

Yes — both the pump and the lights run on stored battery charge for several hours after dark, depending on how sunny the day was.
