Bioscape Lion Rock 30 x 20 x 23cm
The look of sculpted stone, without adding a single gram of real rock weight. Bioscape Lion Rock is a manufactured aquarium ornament shaped into a lion's profile, sized at 30 x 20 x 23 cm, with swim-through spaces built into the design. It's an artificial piece rather than mined stone – the size, shape and finish are the same every time you order.
Key features
- Sculpted lion profile – a figurative centrepiece rather than a generic rock shape.
- Swim-through spaces – openings built into the design for fish to pass through and shelter in.
- Manufactured, not mined – every piece is the same size and shape, unlike natural stone where no two pieces match.
- Freshwater and marine rated – suitable across both types of display.

Will it fit my tank?
At 30 cm long and 23 cm tall, this suits a mid-size to large display rather than a nano tank – check your tank's internal footprint and height clearance before ordering, particularly if you're stacking it with other hardscape.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine displays wanting a figurative centrepiece with built-in swim-through spaces. Not a substitute for genuine reef rock where live rock's biological filtration role matters – this is a decorative, inert piece.
Care and maintenance
Rinse before adding to the tank. Being a manufactured ornament rather than mined stone, it's designed to sit inertly in the water – Bioscape doesn't publish specific water-chemistry test data for this piece, so if you're stocking a chemistry-sensitive setup, monitor parameters after adding it as you would with any new décor.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Is this real rock or an ornament?
It's a manufactured ornament sculpted to look like natural stone, not a mined or natural rock piece.
Will it affect my water chemistry?
Bioscape doesn't publish water-chemistry data for this piece. As a manufactured, inert ornament it's designed not to leach into the water, but test your parameters after adding it if your setup is chemistry-sensitive.
Is it reef safe?
It's marketed for marine as well as freshwater displays, but it's decorative rather than functional reef rock – it won't provide the biological filtration live or dry reef rock does.
How big is the swim-through opening?
Bioscape doesn't publish an opening size for the swim-through – check the product photos against your largest fish before relying on it for a specific species.
