Bioscape Oriental Lady at Well 10 x 17.5cm
A small hand-painted well-and-figure ornament with a recessed opening small fish and shrimp can use as a hide. The Bioscape Oriental Lady at Well is a 10 x 17.5 cm cast resin piece, non-toxic and safe for both freshwater and marine tanks, styled as a robed figure beside a well with a built-in recess.
Key features
- Hand-finished resin — cast and hand-painted, so texture and colour vary slightly piece to piece.
- Built-in hide — the well recess gives small fish and shrimp a sheltered spot, not just a figure to look at.
- Compact footprint — 10 x 17.5 cm suits nano tanks as well as larger community setups.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, including nano tanks, as a themed accent with a functional hide. Not sold or marketed as a reptile or terrarium feature — this is an aquatic ornament.
Care and maintenance
Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding it to the tank to clear manufacturing dust or loose resin particles, including inside the well recess. No soaking or curing is required — it's inert and won't affect pH or water chemistry.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Will it affect my water chemistry?
No — it's an inert, non-toxic resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.
Does it float or sink?
It sinks and sits in place; no gluing or weighting down is needed for normal use.
Is it reef safe?
Bioscape markets it as safe for both freshwater and marine setups. As with any ornament going into a sensitive reef system, rinse it well and introduce it gradually if you're being cautious.
Does the well recess actually work as a hide for shrimp?
Yes — the recess is a genuine opening rather than a decorative detail, so it gives small fish and shrimp somewhere to retreat.
