Bioscape Skull Castle 15.5 x 14.5 x 15.5cm
A gothic skull fortress built for fish to disappear into. The Bioscape Skull Castle is a 15.5 × 14.5 × 15.5 cm resin ornament shaped as a ruined skull-and-turret hideaway, with open eye sockets and archways that run straight through to a cavity behind, giving shy fish somewhere to vanish rather than just perch.
Key features
- Cast resin build — the same non-toxic resin used across the Bioscape ornament range, inert once rinsed and safe for long-term submersion.
- Through-cavities, not blind sockets — the eye sockets and turret archways open into a real internal chamber, so fish can swim through rather than just hide behind a facade.
- Weathered hand-finish — painted to look aged and gothic rather than glossy-new, and no two pieces finish identically.
- Compact footprint — at roughly 15.5 cm on every side it fits nano and standard tanks without dominating the scape the way a full castle ornament would.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, and compact enough for nano tanks as well as standard community setups. Not suitable as a reptile or terrarium feature — the finish and cast are made for wet, submerged use, not a basking or climbing surface.
Care and maintenance
Rinse well under running water before adding it to the tank to clear casting dust from the internal cavity. It's inert once rinsed and doesn't need soaking, curing or any regular maintenance.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Can fish swim all the way through it?
Yes — the eye sockets and archways open into a genuine internal cavity, so it works as a swim-through as well as a hide.
Will it cloud the water or affect pH?
No. It's a non-toxic, inert resin and won't shift pH, hardness or clarity once it's been rinsed.
Is it safe for a reef tank?
Bioscape markets it as safe for freshwater and marine use. As with any new ornament in an established reef, rinse it thoroughly and introduce it gradually if you want to be cautious.
Will it suit a nano tank?
At around 15.5 cm on each side it's compact enough for most nano aquariums, though it's worth measuring your tank's internal footprint before ordering if space is tight.
