Bioscape Yellow Roofed Home 11.5 x 11cm
A rustic woodland house with cover built in, not just a shape to look at. The Bioscape Yellow Roofed Home is an 11.5 x 11 cm cast-resin ornament styled as a weathered cottage, with swim-through doors and windows sized for small to mid-sized fish. It's cast in the same non-toxic resin as the rest of the Bioscape ornament range, safe for freshwater and marine tanks.
Key features
- Cast in non-toxic resin — inert in water, safe for freshwater and marine aquariums.
- Swim-through openings — doors and windows sized for small to mid-sized fish to use as real hiding spots, not just decoration.
- Compact 11.5 x 11 cm footprint — suits nano and small tanks as a centrepiece, or a supporting feature in larger scapes.
- Weathered cottage finish — rustic yellow-roofed detailing that reads as a natural feature rather than a novelty piece.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Nano and small-to-mid aquariums, community and shrimp tanks wanting shelter
- Fish that use overhead cover or swim-through structure, rather than open-water species
Not ideal as the sole feature in large display tanks, where its 11.5 cm scale reads as a small detail rather than a centrepiece.
Goes well with
- Bioscape Web Figure — similar compact scale, useful for building out a nano aquascape alongside the house.

Common questions
Can fish actually swim through it?
Yes — the doors and windows are sized as real openings for small to mid-sized fish, not just moulded detail.
Is it sized for a nano tank?
Yes, at 11.5 x 11 cm it works well as a centrepiece in nano and small tanks, or as a supporting feature in larger ones.
Is it reef safe?
Yes. The resin is inert and non-toxic, so it's safe for marine and reef tanks as well as freshwater setups.
Do I need to rinse it before adding it to my tank?
Yes — rinse thoroughly under running water to clear any dust from moulding and shipping. Don't use soap or detergent.
