Exo Terra All Glass Large Tall Terrarium Right Hand Door Only
A terrarium missing one door is a terrarium you cannot safely use. The Exo Terra All Glass Large Tall Terrarium Right Hand Door is the factory replacement front-right glass door for the 90 x 45 x 60 cm Large Tall terrarium, catalogued by Exo Terra as PT2537. One door comes per pack. It is matched to the terrarium by model number, not by measuring the gap, and it is the part to order when the right pane is cracked, missing, or so scratched you have stopped being able to see through it.
Key features
- Genuine Exo Terra PT2537 – seats on the terrarium's existing hinge points, so nothing needs packing or shimming to make it close.
- Right-hand side only – the door on your right as you face the terrarium. The left door is PT2536 and is not interchangeable with this one.
- One terrarium, one door – made for the Large Tall, 90 x 45 x 60 cm (PT2614), and no other size in the range.
- Independent opening preserved – Exo Terra's two front doors are designed to open separately so you can reach in on one side without exposing the whole front. A correct replacement keeps that; an improvised panel does not.
- Sold on its own – no need to buy a pair to fix one side.
- Brings a second-hand terrarium back into service – used enclosures very often change hands with a door short.

Which door do I need?
Stand in front of the terrarium as you would to open it. The door on your right is the right door.
| Side | Part number | Terrarium it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Left | PT2536 – Left Hand Door | Large Tall, 90 x 45 x 60 cm |
| Right | PT2537 – this page | Large Tall, 90 x 45 x 60 cm |
If both panes are damaged, order one of each. There is no pair option.
Will it fit my terrarium?
Only the Large Tall – 90 cm wide, 45 cm deep, 60 cm high. Several Exo Terra models share the 90 x 45 footprint, so the footprint alone will not tell you.
The height is the deciding number. A Large Wide 90 x 45 x 45 cm or a Large Low 90 x 45 x 30 cm looks identical from above and takes a different, shorter door. Measure the outside height of your terrarium before ordering.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for
- Replacing a broken or missing right front door on an Exo Terra Large Tall 90 x 45 x 60 cm terrarium
- Completing a used terrarium that arrived with only one door
- Swapping out a pane that has gone cloudy from years of hard-water spotting and scrubbing
- Keeping a spare in the shed if you run a rack of this size
Not suitable for
- The left-hand side of the same terrarium – that is PT2536
- Any other Exo Terra terrarium size, including the same 90 x 45 footprint in a different height
- The Exo Terra Pro range, which is a separate enclosure line
- Non-Exo Terra glass terrariums
- Cutting down to fit a smaller enclosure
Fitting and care
Secure the animal elsewhere first. While the door is out, the enclosure is open on that side and a fast lizard or a small snake needs no more invitation than that.
Wash the new pane before it goes in. Use a reptile-safe cleaner or diluted white vinegar, never an ammonia-based household glass spray, and dry it fully.
Inspect the latch while you have the front apart. The latch wears independently of the glass and is what actually holds the enclosure shut, so a fresh door on a failed latch has not solved the escape risk.
Goes well with
- Exo Terra Large Tall Left Hand Door (PT2536) – the other half of the front, when both panes need replacing.
- Exo Terra Terrarium Glass Door Latch Replacement Kit – the wear part that keeps the doors closed, sold separately from the glass.
- Exo Terra All Glass Large Tall Terrarium 90 x 45 x 60 cm – the enclosure this door belongs to.
- Exo Terra Pro Terrarium Large / Tall 90 x 45 x 60 cm – the same footprint in the Pro line, if you are weighing up a full replacement instead.
Warranty and delivery
Exo Terra publishes no warranty term for individual replacement doors. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply regardless, and any manufacturer warranty is in addition to them – the part must be of acceptable quality and fit for its stated purpose.
It travels as a fragile glass panel. Not dangerous goods, no cold chain, but a single sheet of glass – unpack it carefully and check it before you fit it.
Common questions
Is the Exo Terra PT2537 door the same as the left one?
No. The two doors are handed and carry different part numbers – PT2537 on the right, PT2536 on the left. Fitting the wrong one leaves the latch and the overlap on the wrong side.
My terrarium is 90 x 45 x 90 cm. Does this fit?
No. That is an Extra Tall model and takes a taller door. This door is only for the 60 cm high Large Tall.
Can I run the terrarium with one door until the replacement arrives?
Not with an animal inside. A single missing pane leaves a full-height opening across half the front, which no reptile-safe temporary cover reliably closes. Move the animal to secure housing until the door is fitted.
Does the door include hinges?
Exo Terra does not publish a carton contents list for its replacement doors, so this cannot be answered from the specification. The doors seat on the terrarium's own hinge points, so keep the original hardware until the new pane is in and closing properly.
Why not just have a glazier cut a pane to the same size?
Exo Terra's front doors are handed and shaped to seat on the frame's hinge points and close onto its locking mechanism. A plain rectangle cut to the same outside dimensions will not hinge or latch, which is the part that keeps the animal in.
