Fluval AC70 Bio Foam Insert Blue 3 Pack
Traps debris and grows bacteria in one dense foam block. This is the genuine Fluval Bio-Foam insert for the AquaClear AC70 power filter, sold as a 3-pack. It is dense 30 PPI foam moulded to drop straight into the AC70's media basket, and it is not interchangeable with the AC110, AC50, AC30 or AC20 – each AquaClear size takes its own foam.

Will it fit my filter?
This foam is sized to the AC70 media basket only. It does not fit the AC110, which uses a larger foam block, or the AC20, AC30 and AC50, which each take a smaller size again.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for the AquaClear AC70 power filter in freshwater or marine setups. Not suitable for the AC110 or any other AquaClear size – check the model printed on the filter body before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Rinse in used tank water at each service rather than tap water, to protect the bacteria colonising the foam. Replace the block roughly every 2 months, or sooner if it has compacted and no longer springs back after squeezing.

Common questions
Does this foam fit the AquaClear AC110?
No. The AC110 uses a larger foam insert sized to its own media basket. This 3-pack is cut for the AC70 only.
How often should I replace the foam?
Around every 2 months under normal stocking. Rinse it in tank water between replacements rather than discarding it early.
Can I use this foam in a marine tank?
Yes. The foam itself is inert and safe for both freshwater and marine aquariums.
Should I rinse the foam in tap water?
No. Tap water chlorine kills the bacteria living in the foam. Rinse it in a bucket of removed tank water instead.
