Genuine Fluval nitrite remover pads for FX series canister filters. Fluval part A265 is a 3 pack of pads infused with nitrite resin (a material that binds nitrite). Each pad removes and reduces nitrite as water passes through (chemical filtration) and traps floating debris, excess food and waste (mechanical filtration).

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for FX2, FX4, FX5 and FX6 owners who need to bring nitrite down. It targets nitrite only; Fluval sells separate pads for ammonia. It does not replace biological filtration or water changes. Not made for the 06 or 07 series filters.
Care
Resin has a limited capacity, so test nitrite while the pads are in use and replace them once readings start to rise again.
