Colour & specimen: This fish's colouration may look different in your own tank depending on your lighting, diet, stress levels and water conditions, and can vary between individual fish of the same species. You will not receive this exact fish pictured; the one you receive will be a similar size, colour and condition.
WA & TAS orders: state biosecurity regulations restrict which live animals can be sent to Western Australia and Tasmania — please check what we can send to you before ordering. See delivery info
Ocean Nutrition frozen marine mix
A four-way blend that keeps mixed marine tanks eating.
Ocean Nutrition Frozen Marine Mix combines artemia, krill, cockles and rotifers in one 100 g frozen blister pack, giving marine community tanks a varied diet from a single feed rather than four separate foods.
Key features
- Four ingredients in one pack — artemia, krill, cockles and rotifers.
- Range of particle sizes — suits a mixed community of fish sizes feeding at once.
- Marine protein source — contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA.
- Supports natural colour — marine proteins in the blend support colour enhancement.
- One feed, several textures — reduces the need to keep multiple frozen foods on hand.

Suitable for — and not suitable for
Suitable for mixed marine community tanks where fish differ in size and feeding style — smaller fish take the rotifer and artemia fraction, larger fish take the krill and cockle pieces.
Not suitable as the sole diet for fish with very specific dietary needs, such as strict herbivores or filter feeders that need a food built around algae and plankton — our Micro Plankton suits those instead.
Feeding directions
Feed 2 to 5 times a day, offering only what will be eaten within 5 minutes.
Thawing, storage and cold chain
Thaw a portion in a small container of aquarium water, then feed once fully thawed. Never refreeze thawed food. Keep the unopened pack frozen between uses, and carry it home in an insulated bag on a hot day so it doesn't begin thawing in transit.
Goes well with
Rotate with Mysis for a higher-protein option on other feeding days, and with Lance Fish for tankmates large enough to take whole prey.
Warranty and delivery
As a frozen perishable food, this product is covered by the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law relating to acceptable quality on arrival, in addition to any manufacturer assurance. It is sold and shipped frozen — keep it cold on the way home and into your freezer promptly.
Common questions
What's actually in the mix?
Artemia, krill, cockles and rotifers — no fillers and no single dominant ingredient.
Will the different pieces suit all my fish?
That range of particle sizes is the point — smaller fish take the rotifer and artemia fraction, larger fish take the krill and cockle pieces.
Can I feed this every day?
Yes, as part of a rotation — most keepers alternate it with other frozen or prepared foods rather than feeding one product exclusively.
Is it reef safe?
The ingredients are natural marine foods. As with any frozen food, thaw and feed conservatively if your system is sensitive to added nutrient input.
How long does a pack last?
That depends on your feeding rate and stocking — thaw only the portion you need per feed and keep the rest frozen.
