ReefSense ATO Sensor
Tells your top-up system exactly when to run — and when to stop. The Red Sea ReefSense ATO Sensor is a solid-state, titanium-probe water-level sensor that connects directly to a ReefControl Lite or ReefControl Pro hub, giving your auto top-off system a reliable trigger point without a mechanical float to stick or foul with coralline growth. It mounts magnetically to the outside of the glass and reports the level straight into the ReefBeat app alongside your other ReefSense readings.

What's included / what you'll still need
This listing is for the ReefSense ATO Sensor itself — the titanium probe and mounting bracket. It does not include a top-up dosing pump, reservoir or tubing, or a ReefControl hub; you'll need a ReefControl Lite or Pro to read the sensor, and a separate pump (switched through ReefControl Power, or your existing ATO pump) to act on it.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for fresh or marine tanks already running, or about to run, ReefControl Lite or Pro. Not suitable as a stand-alone ATO system — it's the level sensor, not the pump that does the topping up.
Safety
Red Sea has not published a specific run-dry or overfill fail-safe behaviour for this sensor on its Australian or global product pages at the time of writing. Check your ATO reservoir manually until you're confident the system is behaving as expected, and never leave a top-up pump running unattended and unchecked for the first few days after setup.
