Seachem Stability Bonus Rhino +30% BONUS 325 mL
Get 30% more Seachem Stability for the same price: a full 325 mL in the bonus Rhino bottle (250 mL + 30% free), enough to rapidly seed the biofilter in a new tank and help prevent new tank syndrome. Stability contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative bacteria that break down waste organics, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate in both freshwater and marine aquariums.
Key features
- Broad tolerance of temperature, pH and organic load, staying effective where competing blends can crash
- Non-sulfur-fixing bacteria, so it will not produce toxic hydrogen sulphide
- Harmless to fish, invertebrates and plants, with no danger of overdosing
- Dormant spore form: no refrigeration required, activates once diluted in aquarium water
- Does not affect pH, GH or KH: it is purely a bacterial supplement
- Works well alongside a biological filter medium such as Seachem Matrix

Dosage and directions
Shake well before use and switch off UV sterilisers or ozone equipment while dosing.
| Stage | Dose | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| New tank, day 1 | 5 mL (1 capful) per 40 L | Once, on setup day |
| New tank, days 2-7 | 5 mL per 80 L | Daily for 7 consecutive days |
| Maintenance | 5 mL per 80 L | Monthly, at each water change, when adding new fish, or when medicating |
Cost per litre
Working: the 325 mL bottle holds 65 maintenance doses (325 mL ÷ 5 mL per dose). At the maintenance rate of one dose per 80 L, that maintains 5,200 L of tank water (65 × 80 L) across the life of the bottle. At $32.95 for 325 mL, that is $32.95 ÷ 5,200 L, which works out to under 1c per litre of tank water maintained.
Suitable for / Not suitable for
Suitable for: new freshwater and marine aquariums being cycled, established tanks after a water change, when adding new fish, when medicating, and for fishless cycling.
Not suitable for: replacing regular water testing and water changes; instantly completing the nitrogen cycle (most tanks still take 4 to 6 weeks even with bacterial additives); or adjusting pH, GH or KH.
Safety
Turn off UV sterilisers and ozone equipment while dosing, as these can kill the bacteria before they establish. Stability is non-toxic to fish, invertebrates, plants and biological filtration, with no overdose risk under normal use. Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight and keep out of reach of children.

Common questions
Can I add fish straight away?
Yes. Fish and other livestock can be introduced at any time, as long as the 7-day dosing schedule is completed as directed.
How long does a full tank cycle take?
Every tank cycles at its own pace depending on stocking, filtration and organic load, but most tanks dosed with Stability complete a full cycle within 4 to 6 weeks.
What should I use for an ammonia spike?
For an emergency ammonia reading, Seachem recommends Seachem AmGuard alongside continued Stability dosing to keep supporting the biofilter.
Can I run a fishless cycle?
Yes. Add a pinch of fish food daily as an ammonia source until your test kit registers ammonia, then continue the Stability dosing schedule until the tank cycles.
Does Stability affect pH, GH or KH?
No. Stability is a bacterial supplement only and has no impact on pH, GH or KH.
Why is this called the Rhino bottle?
The Rhino bottle is Seachem's bonus-size packaging: 30% extra product (325 mL instead of 250 mL) in the same bottle format, for genuine added value over the standard size.
