Coral Sun Actinic 420 Tube T8 - 36"
A 36 inch actinic T8 tube peaking at 420 nm. The Zoo Med Coral Sun Actinic 420 is a high intensity actinic lamp (a blue lamp weighted to the short wavelength end of the spectrum) with its output peaking at 420 nm. Zoo Med says it promotes the growth of zooxanthellae (the symbiotic algae living inside coral tissue), which photosynthetic corals and invertebrates need to grow and stay healthy.
Key features
- Peak output at 420 nm, in the short wavelength blue region.
- Rated effective for up to 10,000 hours. Fluorescent tubes lose output before they stop lighting, so replace on hours run.
- Made in Germany, as stated by Zoo Med.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for marine and reef aquariums with a 36 inch T8 fixture rated for a 25 W tube. Zoo Med's international range has a different 900 mm tube, the CL-36E at 30 W, so if your fixture is specified as 900 mm 30 W, check it will run a 25 W tube before ordering. Not suitable for T5 or T12 fixtures, as the tube size and lamp holders differ.
Safety
This lamp contains mercury, so do not put it in household waste; take spent tubes to a fluorescent lamp recycling drop-off. Switch the fixture off and let the tube cool before handling, and check the glass for cracks before fitting.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Zoo Med's 1 year warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
