Bioscape Slim Natural LED Light Unit
One slim LED bar, three lengths, natural white light. The Bioscape Slim Natural LED Light Unit is a low-profile clip-on light bar built to sit flush along the back rim of the tank, running a natural daylight-style white spectrum rather than a colour-shifting reef or planted spectrum. It's sold in 30 cm, 45 cm (10.5 W) and 60 cm (12 W) lengths to match common tank widths, and mounts with the extendable leg and clamp included in the box.
Key features
- Ultra-slim profile – sits low along the rim rather than as a bulky canopy, so it doesn't dominate the top of an open-top tank.
- Natural daylight-style white spectrum – positioned for general viewing light rather than a plant-growth or reef-colour spectrum.
- Extendable leg and clamp included – mounts to the tank rim without drilling, gluing or a separate bracket purchase.
- Three lengths, one design – 30 cm, 45 cm and 60 cm bars cover most standard tank widths from the same slim housing.
- Low-voltage operation – runs from an included low-voltage power supply rather than exposing mains voltage at the fixture itself.

| 60 cm | 12 W | Extendable leg and clamp (included) |
Will it fit my tank?
Match the bar length to your tank's width – the back rim's left-to-right span – rather than its front-to-back depth – the clamp mounts along the rim, and the extendable leg takes up any small gap between bar and glass. If your tank sits between two of the three lengths, size down rather than up; a shorter bar with good clamp contact mounts more securely than a longer one overhanging the rim.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums where general daylight-style viewing light is wanted, and for open-top or low-clearance tanks where a slim rim-mount suits better than a full canopy or overhead fixture. Not intended as a plant-growth or coral-growth light – Bioscape doesn't publish a PAR chart for this fixture, and the natural-white spectrum is built for viewing rather than photosynthesis. Where PAR at the substrate actually matters – a heavily planted or reef tank – a dedicated plant or reef light is the better fit.
Care and maintenance
Wipe the lens and housing down during routine tank maintenance to keep output consistent – salt creep and water spots on the lens cut visible brightness over time even though the LEDs themselves are long-lived. Check the clamp grip periodically, particularly on thinner rimless glass.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Runs on a 240 V household supply through the included low-voltage power supply.
Common questions
Which length do I need?
Measure your tank's rim from left to right (its width) and pick the closest bar at or just under that measurement – 30 cm, 45 cm or 60 cm.
Does it come with a timer or dimmer?
No – this unit is a fixed-output light with no built-in timer or dimming control. Pair it with a separate power timer if you want an automated photoperiod.
Can I use it on a planted or reef tank?
You can run it for general viewing, but it isn't sold as a plant-growth or reef light – Bioscape hasn't published PAR figures for it, so treat it as supplementary or display lighting rather than your tank's primary growth light.
Is the mounting hardware included?
Yes – the extendable leg and clamp needed to mount it to the tank rim are included in the box.
