Eco Tech Rotation Clamp Lampholder 150w max

Aim the heat exactly where the basking zone needs it. The Eco Tech Rotation Clamp Lampholder is an E27 screw-fitting lamp holder rated to 150 W. It clamps onto an enclosure edge, mesh top or stand and rotates through 360 degrees, so the beam lands on the basking spot rather than wherever the fixture happens to sit. An in-line switch turns the bulb on and off at the fixture. It suits keepers who want a heat or UVB fixture they can reposition as the enclosure layout changes.

Key features
  • E27 screw fitting, rated to 150 W — takes basking, ceramic heat emitter and UVB globes up to that wattage.
  • 360-degree rotating head — angle the beam without unclamping and moving the whole fixture.
  • Spring clamp mount — grips enclosure edges, mesh tops and stands without drilling or screws.
  • In-line on/off switch — turn the bulb off at the fixture, not just at the wall.
  • Heat-safe socket construction — built to run warm without the housing degrading.
  • No guard fitted — best suited to mounting positions the animal cannot climb to reach.

Best for Repositioning as the enclosure layout changes; mounting out of reach above mesh Enclosures where a climbing reptile can reach the fixture
Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for

  • Terrariums and reptile enclosures needing an adjustable heat or UVB fixture
  • Mounting above a mesh lid or enclosure rim, out of the animal's reach
  • Keepers who reposition fixtures as they rearrange décor and basking spots

Not suitable for

  • Enclosures where a climbing reptile can reach the bulb directly — this holder has no guard, unlike the caged Bulb Cover model
  • Use as the only form of temperature control — a lampholder switches a bulb on and off, it does not regulate heat
  • Bulbs rated above 150 W
Safety

This is a mains-powered fixture — connect it to a 240 V / 50 Hz AU supply only, and fit a bulb rated at 150 W or under. No bulb guard is fitted, so mount the clamp somewhere the animal cannot reach the hot glass of the globe, or pair it with a separate guard. Run any heat-emitting bulb through a thermostat; the lampholder switches power, it does not regulate temperature. Check the clamp is seated firmly after every angle adjustment, and keep the fixture and cord clear of substrate, water and anything flammable.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the clamp and housing down while cool and dry — do not immerse the switch or socket. Check the spring tension occasionally; a clamp that no longer grips firmly can let the whole fixture drop onto substrate or an animal. Retire the unit if the socket shows scorch marks or the switch feels loose.

Warranty and delivery

Eco Tech does not publish a warranty term for this fixture. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply regardless of any manufacturer warranty — it must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose it is sold for. It ships as a standard parcel: not oversize, not dangerous goods, no cold chain.

Common questions

Does this lampholder include a bulb?

No. It ships as the clamp fixture only — E27 socket, spring clamp and in-line switch. Any basking, ceramic heat or UVB globe rated 150 W or under fits it.

Is a guard included to stop my reptile touching the bulb?

No. This model ships without a guard. If your reptile can climb to reach the fixture, choose a guarded holder such as the Eco Tech Bulb Cover Ceramic Lamp Holder instead, or mount this one somewhere the animal cannot reach.

What's the maximum wattage bulb I can use?

150 W. Going over that rating risks overheating the socket and the switch.

Do I still need a thermostat?

Yes, for any heat-emitting bulb. The lampholder switches the bulb on and off; it does not regulate temperature. Pair it with a thermostat such as the Eco Tech EZY SET Digital Thermostat.

Can it be mounted outside the enclosure, above a mesh lid?

Yes — the spring clamp grips a mesh top or enclosure frame, and the 360-degree head lets you angle the beam down through the mesh onto the basking spot.
