Eco Tech Tangled Tree Root Wall L 58.5 x 20 x 56.5cm
A tangled root-effect backdrop that turns a bare enclosure wall into a climbing feature. The Eco Tech Tangled Tree Root Wall (L) is a moulded 3D background sized 58.5 x 20 x 56.5 cm, built for reptile enclosures, vivariums and terrarium backgrounds. Like the rest of the Eco Tech 3D background range, it's cast in lightweight, water-resistant polyurethane (PU), so it works dry in a terrarium or wet in a planted or semi-aquatic setup.
Key features
- Tangled root sculpting — raised branch and root texture across the full panel, giving climbing reptiles, geckos and inverts places to grip and perch
- Moulded polyurethane (PU) — lightweight, water-resistant and temperature-resistant, consistent with the rest of the Eco Tech background range
- Freestanding fit — sits against the back wall of an enclosure without needing to be permanently fixed

Will it fit my enclosure?
It's a single fixed size, so measure your enclosure before ordering — you'll need an internal footprint of at least 58.5 cm wide, 20 cm deep and 56.5 cm tall for it to sit flush against the back wall.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: reptile and amphibian enclosures, terrariums and vivariums, and — given the PU it's moulded from is water-resistant — planted or semi-aquatic setups.
Not suitable for: enclosures smaller than the panel's own footprint.
Safety
If using it in a semi-aquatic or planted-wet setup, secure it in place before adding water. PU backgrounds in this range are buoyant, so an unsecured piece will float once submerged.
Goes well with
The Eco Tech Terrarium range as a matching enclosure, Eco Tech Coco Peat as a substrate, and other Eco Tech background pieces for a full-enclosure look.
Warranty and delivery

Common questions
Can I use this in a water feature or paludarium?
Yes — the polyurethane it's moulded from is water-resistant. Secure it in place before adding water, since unsecured PU pieces are buoyant and will float.
Can it be trimmed or cut down to size?
The manufacturer doesn't publish guidance on cutting this piece, so treat it as a fixed size and measure your enclosure first.
Is it safe for all reptile species?
It's an inert moulded background suited to most reptile and amphibian enclosures. Check the raised texture for sharp edges before housing very soft-bodied or delicate species.
