Exo Terra Jungle Vine
A vine you bend into whatever climbing route the enclosure needs. The Exo Terra Jungle Vine is a flexible, bark-textured vine with a shapeable core — route it corner to corner, wrap it around branches, or loop it between hides to build the three-dimensional climbing space arboreal geckos, tree frogs and other climbing species use. It's waterproof, so it holds its shape and its look through regular misting and high-humidity setups. Available in two sizes: a slimmer 10 mm vine for smaller climbers and a sturdier 15 mm vine for heavier species.
Key features
- Bendable, shape-holding core — route it once and it stays put, rather than springing back straight.
- Bark-look texture — gives climbing species real grip, not a smooth plastic surface.
- Waterproof construction — built for regular misting and humid, planted setups without degrading.
- 180 cm length — long enough to span a full-size terrarium corner to corner, or cut down for a custom run.
- Two diameters — 10 mm for smaller climbers, 15 mm where a heavier-bodied species needs sturdier support.

Which size do I need?
The 10 mm Small suits lighter climbers — day geckos, crested geckos, anoles and tree frogs — where a thick branch would dominate the space. The 15 mm Large gives a heavier-bodied climber a more secure grip and won't flex as much under weight. Both are the same 180 cm length, so the choice is about diameter and load, not reach — combine both sizes in one enclosure for a varied climbing structure.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for arboreal and semi-arboreal reptiles and amphibians that climb as part of their natural behaviour — geckos, tree frogs, anoles and similar species — as a climbing route, basking perch support, or decorative structure in planted and humid terrariums. Not a substitute for a properly secured, load-tested branch for larger or heavier-bodied species; check the vine holds its shape under the animal's actual weight before relying on it as a primary basking perch.
Care and maintenance
Wipe clean with warm water as part of routine enclosure cleaning; the waterproof finish handles regular misting without swelling or staining. Re-shape by hand if the bend loosens over time — the core holds a new shape as readily as the first one.
Goes well with
- Exo Terra hides and caves, to give a climbing route a destination at each end
- A basking lamp positioned over the highest point of the vine, for species that bask off the ground
- Terrarium background panels, to anchor the vine's mounting points

Common questions
Can I cut it to a shorter length?
Yes — it's designed to be cut down for custom runs if you don't need the full 180 cm.
Will it hold its shape once bent?
Yes, the core is designed to hold whatever route you bend it into, rather than springing back straight.
Is it safe in a humid or frequently misted enclosure?
Yes — it's waterproof and built for tropical, high-humidity setups.
Can I use the Small and Large sizes together?
Yes, combining diameters in the one enclosure is a common way to build a more varied, natural-looking climbing structure.
