Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for small freshwater ornamental ponds, a low waterfall or spillway, and as the feed pump for the Fluval Pressure-Flo 4500 filter, which Fluval pairs with this pump. Flow falls as lift rises, so if your waterfall is close to 1.8 m up, choose a larger Max-Flo. Made for freshwater ponds.
Safety
Mains-powered and submersible: run it from an RCD (residual current device, or safety switch) protected outdoor outlet, and disconnect power before lifting it out for cleaning.
