Red Sea Potassium Pro Test Kit
High-resolution potassium testing most reef kits skip entirely. The Red Sea Potassium Pro is a titration-based test kit built to read potassium across a 150–450 ppm range using a single-handed titrator, rather than the drop-count guesswork most competing kits rely on.
Key features
- 150–450 ppm range — covers natural seawater potassium levels and the deficiencies that show up in heavily-dosed reef systems
- Titration method with a single-handed titrator — designed for a clearer, more repeatable endpoint than colour-matching
- 40 tests per kit
- Reagent refill available — restock the chemistry without buying a new titrator

What's included
- Titrator
- Test vial
- Reagents A, B and C, plus titrant, for 40 tests
- Instructions
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for saltwater reef aquariums dosing potassium as part of a supplement or Reef Care Program regime
- Not suitable for freshwater — potassium testing at this range has no relevance outside saltwater dosing
- Not a substitute for ICP testing where cross-checking against multiple trace elements at once is needed
Goes well with
- Red Sea Potassium Pro Reagent Refill Kit — restock the chemistry once the 40 tests are used
- Red Sea Marine Care Multi Test Kit — for the broader saltwater parameters this kit doesn't cover
Warranty and delivery
Reagents carry a use-by date printed on the pack — check it before testing. Consumer guarantees apply under Australian Consumer Law in addition to any manufacturer terms. Standard parcel delivery applies.
Common questions
How many tests does this kit include?
40 tests using the included titrator.
How accurate is the result?
Red Sea states an accuracy figure on the pack insert; published figures vary between sources, so check the insert on your kit if you need the exact number for calibration or dosing records.
Do I need the full kit or the reagent refill?
Buy the full kit if this is your first Potassium Pro test — you need the titrator. If you already own one, the reagent refill restores the same 40 tests at a lower cost.
Can I use this on a freshwater tank?
No — it's built for saltwater reef chemistry and dosing routines.
Why test potassium at all?
Potassium is consumed by corals and coralline algae and depleted faster in heavily-dosed or high-growth reef systems. Running low can show up as poor coral colour and weak polyp extension before it shows up anywhere else.
