Zoo Med Betta Plant Window Leaf
A bold, broad-leafed plastic plant for instant betta bowl cover. The Zoo Med Betta Plant Window Leaf (BP-25) is a naturalistic plastic plant made for betta bowls and nano tanks. Its wide, window-shaped leaf creates a striking visual feature and a shaded resting spot, with no substrate or lighting needed to keep it looking good. It attaches to the glass with a built-in suction cup.
Key features
- Wide window-leaf design - the largest single-leaf silhouette in the Zoo Med Betta Plant range, for a bolder visual than the Maple Leaf or Salvia.
- Suction-cup mount - sticks directly to the glass, no gravel anchor needed.
- Colourfast plastic - moulded plastic that does not yellow or die back like a live plant.
- No upkeep - no dosing, trimming or CO2, just an occasional rinse.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for betta bowls, nano tanks and community tanks wanting a bold single-leaf feature alongside live or other plastic planting. Not a substitute for a live, oxygenating plant, and not intended as a filter media anchor or for tanks with fish known to chew rigid plastic decor.
Care and maintenance
Rinse under lukewarm water when algae or biofilm builds up on the leaf surface. Zoo Med does not publish a fin-safety rating for this range. It is rigid moulded plastic rather than soft silk, so owners of long-finned betta varieties should check the leaf edges by hand before adding it to the tank.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Zoo Med's standard warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel; no cold chain or special handling needed.
Common questions
How big is the leaf compared with the rest of the range?
Zoo Med does not publish exact dimensions for this range, but the window-leaf shape is the widest single-leaf profile in the Betta Plant line, larger than the Maple Leaf.
Does it need substrate to stay in place?
No. The built-in suction cup anchors to glass, so it works in a bare bowl with no gravel.
Can I use it in a planted tank with CO2 and dosing?
Yes. It is inert plastic and does not interact with CO2, fertiliser dosing or medication.
Is it safe for long-finned betta varieties?
Zoo Med does not publish a fin-safety rating for this item. Check the moulded leaf edges by hand before adding it to a tank with a long-finned betta.
