Bioscape Floating Magnet Cleaner
Wipe the glass without ever putting a hand in the water. The Bioscape Floating Magnet Cleaner pairs an inner pad with an outer magnetic handle, so moving the outside piece across the glass drags the inner pad over algae on the inside. It's sold in Mini, Small and Medium sizes.
Key features
- Magnetic pair — clean the inside of the glass by moving a handle on the outside; no wet hands, no disturbing the substrate.
- Floats if separated — if the inner pad comes loose from the magnet, it floats to the surface instead of sinking out of reach.
- Three sizes — Mini, Small and Medium, scaled to different tank sizes and glass thickness.
Which size do I need?
| Size | SKU | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | BIS40 | Nano and small tanks with thinner glass |
| Small | BIS41 | Standard-size community tanks |
| Medium | BIS42 | Larger tanks and thicker glass |
Bioscape doesn't publish a maximum glass thickness figure for this range. If you're not sure whether a size will grip through your glass, contact us with your glass thickness before you buy and we'll confirm the right one.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: everyday algae film on glass aquariums, cleaned from outside the tank without getting your hands wet.
- Not suitable for: acrylic tanks — Bioscape doesn't publish acrylic compatibility for this range, and a magnet pad that's fine on glass can scratch acrylic. Check with us before use on an acrylic tank. Also not intended for heavy, encrusted algae or coralline growth, which needs a scraper.
Care and maintenance
Rinse both halves after use to clear grit that could scratch the glass on the next pass. Check for trapped debris between the pad and the glass before each use.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects on arrival, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel item.
Common questions
What happens if the two halves come apart?
The inner pad is designed to float, so it rises to the surface rather than sitting lost on the substrate.
Is it safe for an acrylic tank?
Bioscape doesn't publish acrylic suitability for this range, so we'd recommend checking with us first — the wrong pad can scratch acrylic even when it's completely safe on glass.
Which size should I buy?
Mini suits nano and thin-glass tanks, Small covers most standard community tanks, and Medium is worth stepping up to on larger tanks or thicker glass.
