Eco Tech T5 LED Tube
A low-heat LED retrofit for T5 fluorescent fittings. The Eco Tech T5 LED Tube swaps into a standard T5 housing in place of a fluorescent tube, giving bright, even 6400K light with a 50,000-hour rated life. It's built for terrarium lighting and to support live plant growth — the manufacturer states it must not be used directly above water.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: terrarium lighting, planted terrariums and vivariums, and general enclosure illumination in any standard T5 housing at the matching length.
Not suitable for: mounting directly above open water. The manufacturer states this tube must not be used directly above water — for an aquarium canopy, keep it clear of the open water surface or choose a purpose-built waterproof aquarium tube instead.
Safety
Not to be used directly above water, per the manufacturer. Fit only into a T5 housing rated for the tube's wattage, and match the tube length to the housing.

Can I use this above my aquarium?
The manufacturer advises against positioning it directly above open water. If you want light over an aquarium, keep the tube clear of the water surface inside a covered canopy, or choose a dedicated waterproof aquarium tube.
How long will it last?
It's rated for approximately 50,000 hours of use.
Will it help my terrarium plants grow?
Yes — it's marketed for stimulating plant growth in terrariums, alongside general enclosure lighting.
What housing does it fit?
Any standard T5 fitting at the matching physical length — 549 mm for the 12 W, 849 mm for the 18 W, and 1149 mm for the 24 W.
