Fluval Auto Fish Feeder
Programs up to two feeds a day so your fish eat on schedule even when you're not home. The Fluval Auto Fish Feeder (Fluval PF2) is a battery-powered automatic feeder that mounts on your aquarium cover and dispenses a measured portion of flake, granule, pellet or freeze-dried food at the times you set.
Key features
- Two programmable feeding times – set feed 1 (P1) and feed 2 (P2) on a 24-hour cycle, plus a manual test-feed button (M) to dial in the portion.
- Adjustable portion size – a slider controls how much food drops per feed, so you can match it to your fish load.
- 85 mL food chamber – holds several weeks of flake, granules, pellets or freeze-dried food between refills.
- Battery powered – runs on 2 x AA batteries, so feeding continues through a power outage.
- Mounts without tools – the supplied secure base sticks to the aquarium cover or the Fluval Flex 123 L's feeding port.

What's included / What you'll still need
The box includes the feeder unit and a secure mounting base. You'll still need 2 x AA batteries (non-rechargeable) and your usual dry fish food.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums fed dry foods – flake, granules, pellets and freeze-dried. Not suitable for frozen or live food, and it isn't an app-controlled or Wi-Fi feeder – if you want remote feeding from your phone, you need Fluval's Smart Feeding range instead.
Care and maintenance
Keep the food chamber dry between refills – damp food can clog the dispensing mechanism. Wipe the housing down rather than submerging it.
Safety
Battery-operated only – there's no mains connection to manage. Use fresh, non-rechargeable AA batteries as Fluval specifies; rechargeables can affect the feeder's timing.
Goes well with
Stock up on flake or pellet food sized for your fish, and a spare set of AA batteries so a flat battery never means a missed feed.
Warranty and delivery
Fluval's manual states a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to the consumer guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law. Ships from Nick's Aquarium Oceanarium Terrarium, Brisbane / North Lakes QLD.
Common questions
How many times a day can it feed my fish?
Up to two programmed feeds in a 24-hour cycle, using the P1 and P2 buttons, plus a manual test feed whenever you press M.
Does it connect to an app?
No. This is a standalone battery-powered feeder with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or app control. For app-controlled remote feeding, look at Fluval's Smart Feeding range.
What food can I use in it?
Flake, granules, pellets and freeze-dried foods. It's not designed for frozen or live food.
What happens if the batteries run flat?
Feeding stops until the batteries are replaced, so it's worth keeping a spare set of AA batteries on hand – especially before you travel.
