Zoo Med Betta Plant Bamboo
A hiding spot that looks like real cover. The Zoo Med Betta Plant Bamboo is a bamboo-styled artificial aquarium plant sized for betta bowls and small tanks, giving a betta somewhere to rest and explore without the upkeep of a live plant. A suction cup on the base anchors it to the glass so it stays put through water changes and normal tank activity.
Key features
- Bamboo-style leaves — adds natural-looking texture and visual variety to a bowl or small tank.
- Suction-cup base — anchors to the glass for a stable, repositionable placement.
- Encourages natural behaviour — gives a betta cover to rest in and explore around, rather than bare glass.
- No live-plant upkeep — no lighting, fertiliser or trimming required.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for betta bowls and small freshwater tanks as a low-maintenance hiding and resting spot. Not a substitute for a live plant where a planted look or biological filtration benefit is the goal.
Care and maintenance
Rinse under clean water and wipe down algae build-up during routine tank cleaning. Check the suction cup periodically and reposition if it loses grip.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Zoo Med's standard manufacturer warranty against defects. Shipped from Nick's Aquarium Oceanarium Terrarium, North Lakes QLD.
Common questions
Is it safe for a betta's fins?
It's designed as betta décor with smooth, rounded leaf shapes rather than sharp edges, though we'd always recommend checking a new ornament by hand before adding it to the tank.
Will the suction cup work on any tank?
It grips clean glass or acrylic; on a heavily scratched or textured surface it may not hold as well.
Does it need special cleaning?
No — a rinse under clean water is enough to remove algae film during a normal tank clean.
Goes well with
Pairs with the rest of the Zoo Med Betta Plant range for layered cover, and a betta-safe substrate underneath.
