Size

A bloodworm-shaped stick sized small enough for nano fish and fry. Hikari Vibra Bites Baby is the small-stick version of Vibra Bites, built to drift and wobble through the water like live bloodworm, in a size that nano fish, fry and juveniles can actually manage.

Key features
  • Baby stick size, approx. 3 mm — sized for nano fish, fry and small juveniles that can't take the regular 6 mm stick.
  • Mimics live bloodworm movement — drifts through the water rather than sitting still, which helps tempt fish that are slow to accept manufactured food.
  • Holds its shape in water — stays intact long enough for smaller, more cautious fish to find and eat it.
  • 46% minimum crude protein — the same nutrient-dense recipe as the regular Vibra Bites, in a smaller stick.

Feeding directions

Feed two to three times daily, an amount your fish will fully consume in a couple of minutes. Remove any uneaten sticks after feeding to keep water quality stable in a small tank.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for: nano fish, fry, and juvenile tropical fish that are too small to manage the regular 6 mm Vibra Bites stick.

Not suitable for: adult community fish and larger species, which are better matched to the regular Vibra Bites stick or Vibra Bites XL — a Baby stick is an inefficient portion for a full-grown fish.

Storage

Keep the pouch sealed and stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Reseal firmly after each feed.

Warranty and delivery

This product carries the consumer guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law. It ships as a standard parcel item — no special freight handling applies.

Common questions

How is this different from the regular Vibra Bites?

Stick diameter. Baby sticks are about 3 mm, regular sticks about 6 mm — the recipe and guaranteed analysis are otherwise the same.

Is this suitable for fry?

Yes, it's sized for fry and juveniles as well as adult nano species such as small tetras and shrimp-safe community fish.

Is this a live insect product?

No. It is a manufactured dry stick that includes dried silkworm pupae and mealworm as ingredients within a fixed recipe, not a live feeder insect.

Will it cloud a small tank?

Feeding an amount fish clear in a couple of minutes, and removing anything left over, keeps water clarity stable — particularly important in the smaller water volumes this size is typically used in.

Goes well with

Regular Hikari Vibra Bites Sticks for tanks with a mix of adult and juvenile fish, and a fine-mesh feeding ring to keep sticks from drifting into filter intakes in nano tanks.
