Size

A drifting, bloodworm-shaped stick that tempts even fussy community fish to eat. Hikari Vibra Bites are soft sticks that hold their shape and move through the water in a way that mimics live bloodworm, aimed at community fish that can be slow to accept a manufactured food.

Key features
  • Mimics live bloodworm movement — the stick drifts and wobbles through the water column rather than sitting still, which triggers a feeding response in fish used to hunting live food.
  • Holds its shape in water — does not disintegrate on contact, so it stays intact long enough for slower or more cautious fish to find it.
  • 46% minimum crude protein — includes silkworm pupae and mealworm alongside fish and krill meal.
  • Regular stick size, approx. 6 mm — sized for adult community fish rather than fry or nano species.

Feeding directions

Feed two to three times daily, an amount your fish will fully consume in a couple of minutes. Remove any uneaten sticks after feeding to keep water quality stable.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for: bettas, guppies, tetras, gouramis, discus, angelfish and other similarly sized tropical community fish.

Not suitable for: nano fish, fry and juveniles, which are better matched to the smaller Hikari Vibra Bites Baby stick (about 3 mm); and very large predatory fish, for which a single stick is an inefficient portion.

Storage

Keep the pouch sealed and stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Reseal firmly after each feed.

Warranty and delivery

This product carries the consumer guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law. It ships as a standard parcel item — no special freight handling applies.

Common questions

Will this really tempt a fussy eater?

The drifting motion and bloodworm shape are designed to trigger a hunting response in fish that are reluctant to eat still, flat foods — it works well on fish that ignore flake but chase live or frozen bloodworm.

Is this a live insect product?

No. It is a manufactured dry stick that includes dried silkworm pupae and mealworm as ingredients within a fixed recipe, not a live feeder insect.

What's the difference between this and the Baby size?

Stick diameter. Regular sticks are about 6 mm, sized for adult community fish; Baby sticks are about 3 mm, sized for nano fish, fry and juveniles.

Will it cloud the water?

Feeding an amount fish clear in a couple of minutes, and removing anything left over, keeps water clarity stable.

Goes well with

Hikari Vibra Bites Baby for tanks with a mix of adult and juvenile fish, and a staple flake or pellet as the everyday base diet, with Vibra Bites used to add variety.
