Eheim Everyday Feeder
Feeds your fish on schedule while you're away. The Eheim Everyday Feeder (model 3581) is a battery-powered automatic feeder that clips onto the aquarium rim and dispenses dry flake, pellet or granule food on a programmable schedule — up to eight feeds a day — so your fish are fed on time whether you're at work or away for the weekend.
Key features
- Up to 8 feedings a day — set feed times and portion size on the built-in LCD display.
- Adjustable portion slider — controls how much food drops per rotation, so you're not guessing.
- Built-in drying fan — keeps food in the hopper dry between feeds, reducing clumping and spoilage.
- Universal rim clamp — clicks onto most aquarium rims; the feeder slides on and off the clamp for refilling.
- Manual release button — for an extra feed on demand, without disturbing the schedule.
- See-through 100 mL hopper — so you can see at a glance when it needs a refill.

What's included / what you'll still need
Included: feeder unit, universal mounting clamp, and 2 x AA batteries.
You'll still need: your own dry flake, pellet or granule food (not included).
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, running dry flake, pellet and small granule food.
Not suitable for frozen, live or gel foods, or for tanks without a stable rim to clamp onto.
Care and maintenance
Wipe out the hopper and drying-fan vents by hand between refills — this feeder isn't dishwasher safe. Replace the batteries before they run flat; a feeder that skips its schedule from a dead battery is the most common complaint with any auto-feeder.
Safety
Battery-powered, not mains-powered, so there's no cord near the water. Mount it clear of direct splash or spray from filters or wavemakers so food doesn't clump and jam the mechanism.
Common questions
Does it come with batteries?
Yes, two AA batteries are included with the unit.
What food can I use in it?
Flake, pellet and granule dry foods. It isn't designed for frozen or gel food.
Can I use it on a marine tank?
Yes — it's suited to both freshwater and marine tanks running dry food.
What if I'm away longer than usual?
It's built for regular top-ups rather than indefinite unattended stretches — check the hopper level and battery charge before an extended trip.
