How it works

Open your camera

Just the normal camera app on your phone. There is no app to download.

Point it at the code

Hold it over the square code on the tag. Get close enough that the code fills most of the screen.

Tap the link

A link appears at the top or bottom of your screen. Tap it.

Read up on the animal

You land on the page for that exact animal, at that exact size.

What is on the page

Every livestock listing carries the same set of quick stats, so you can check an animal against your tank before you commit to it.

The code goes to the exact animal, not just the species. Our tags carry a size grade, and the code takes you to that size, so the price you see on your phone is the price on the tag in front of you. Australian caught and imported stock are listed separately too, because they are different animals at different prices.

If it does not scan

Move a little closer or a little further back, and try to keep the phone square on to the tag rather than at an angle. Tank glass, condensation and low light all make it harder. If it still will not read, the code is not the only way in: search the fish by name on this website, or grab one of us and we will pull the page up for you.

Stock moves quickly and the website is updated as animals come and go, so a page may show sold out even while a tag is still on the tank. Ask us if you are unsure.
