Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater fish and for protecting fish eggs from fungus. It is harmful to corals, and it can harm the helpful bacteria in a biological filter (the bacteria that break down fish waste), so a separate hospital tank is often the better place to use it. It is toxic to plants above the recommended dose. Not for use on fish intended for human consumption.
Care
Remove activated carbon from the filter before treating. Do not overdose, and expect some staining of aquarium equipment.
