Bioscape Aquarium Crystal 60 x 30 x 36cm 6mm Glass
A crystal-clear rimless glass tank, sold as glass only. The Bioscape Crystal 60 is a 60 x 30 x 36 cm aquarium built from 6 mm low-iron glass, giving a clearer view through the panels than standard green-tinted glass. It holds a nominal 64.8 litres and ships as an open-top glass tank with a black levelling mat – a light, filter, heater, lid and stand are each bought separately.
Key features
- 6 mm low-iron "Crystal" glass – noticeably less green tint than standard aquarium glass, on all four viewing panels.
- Rimless, open-top design – no plastic trim, for a clean line and full access from above.
- 60 x 30 x 36 cm footprint – a compact tank that suits a stand, cabinet or shelf rated for its filled weight.
- ~64.8 L nominal capacity – actual water volume will be less once substrate, hardscape and equipment are in.
- Black levelling mat included – sits under the tank to spread load evenly and protect the base from small grit.

Why is capacity written as "nominal"?
64.8 L is the tank's brim-full volume calculated from its outside measurements. Substrate, rock, wood and equipment all displace water, and most aquariums are run a few centimetres below the rim, so the water actually in the tank day to day will be somewhat less.
What's included / not included
This is a glass tank, sold on its own. Before you order, check what you'll still need:
- Included: the glass tank, and a black levelling mat to sit underneath it.
- Not included: lighting, filter, heater, lid or hood, stand or cabinet, and substrate or décor.
Bioscape does not publish internal dimensions for this model. Internal space will be marginally less than the external 60 x 30 x 36 cm footprint on every side, by roughly the 6 mm glass thickness.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: freshwater or marine set-ups sized to a 60 x 30 x 36 cm footprint – small community tanks, planted nano tanks, shrimp tanks, or a marine nano build with the right equipment.
- Not suitable for: placement on furniture not rated to hold roughly 77 kg or more once filled, or on an unlevel surface – rimless glass tanks are more sensitive to uneven stands than framed tanks.
Warranty and delivery
The tank itself is unpowered glass; any light, filter or heater fitted to it separately should be rated for 240 V / 50 Hz Australian household power. Contact us for the current Bioscape warranty term on this model – any manufacturer warranty applies in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Glass aquariums are fragile and heavy for their size. Check delivery and freight options at checkout, and inspect the tank for chips or cracks before filling it.
Common questions
Does this tank come with a lid, light, filter or heater?
No. This listing is glass only, with a levelling mat included. A lid, light, filter, heater and stand are each sold separately.
How many litres does it actually hold?
Bioscape rates it at approximately 64.8 litres nominal, brim-full. Once substrate, décor and equipment are added, and the water is kept a little below the rim, the practical volume will be somewhat lower.
Does it need a stand rated for a specific weight?
Yes. Filled with water alone the tank weighs roughly 77 kg; add substrate, rock or wood and it will be more. Use a stand or cabinet rated for at least that weight, sitting level on the floor.
Is the glass tinted?
Less than standard aquarium glass. Bioscape describes it as "Crystal" low-iron glass, which reduces the green cast typical of ordinary float glass. It is noticeably clearer than a standard tank, though not the same as premium optical low-iron glass used on some high-end display tanks.
