One cartridge, two filters – the carbon and phosphate refill for the Bioscape Velocity 400 and 700. Bioscape shares a single cartridge across its two smallest internal filters, so this two-pack refits either a Velocity 400 (400 L/h, up to 40 L) or a Velocity 700 (700 L/h, up to 70 L).

No fixed interval is published by Bioscape. Check the cartridge monthly and swap it once it stops clearing colour or odour from the water. Rinse a new cartridge before fitting to clear loose carbon dust.

Common questions
Does one pack service both my 400 and 700 filters?
Yes for spares – the cartridge itself is identical – but each filter needs its own cartridge fitted, so a single 2-pack covers one swap on each of a 400 and a 700, not both filters running long-term from one pack.
Will this fit my Velocity 1000 or 2000?
No. Both use their own model-specific cartridge (2000 = BIS174).
Is it reef safe?
Yes, the media carries nothing that affects marine invertebrates or corals.
