Bioscape Moss Leaning Tree Trunk 16 x 15 x 10cm
A leaning trunk that reads as driftwood without the tannins. This hand-painted resin ornament mimics the look of a leaning piece of driftwood at 16 x 15 x 10 cm, without the soaking, boiling or waterlogging real bogwood needs before it sinks. The non-toxic resin is safe in both freshwater and marine aquariums.
Key features
- Driftwood look without the prep — no soaking, boiling or waiting for it to waterlog and sink like real driftwood.
- No tannin staining — resin construction means it won't tint the water tea-brown the way real bogwood does.
- Angled, leaning form — sits at a natural lean rather than lying flat, adding visual depth to a layout.
- Fresh and saltwater safe resin construction.

Will it fit my tank?
At a 16 x 15 cm footprint, it suits small to medium aquascapes as a mid-layout feature. Stand it before filling to check the lean sits the way you want, since the resting angle is fixed by the base once placed.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for planted and unplanted freshwater and marine tanks wanting a driftwood look without the water-tinting or float-then-sink hassle of real wood. Not a substitute for real driftwood or bogwood where genuine tannin release or a rougher natural texture for shrimp grazing is specifically wanted.
Care and maintenance
Rinse before adding it to the tank. Being resin rather than wood, it won't need re-soaking, won't soften over time, and won't need replacing as it ages the way real driftwood eventually does.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
Common questions
Will it tint my water like real driftwood?
No — being resin rather than wood, it releases no tannins and won't discolour the water.
Does it need to be soaked or weighted down before use?
No, it's ready to go straight in after a light rinse; it won't float, unlike real driftwood before it waterlogs.
Is it safe for a planted tank?
Yes, the non-toxic resin construction is safe in planted freshwater setups as well as marine tanks.
How is it different from real bogwood?
It gives the same leaning silhouette without water staining, but doesn't offer the rougher natural grazing surface or organic variation of real wood.
